Paint What You Know

I know, it's supposed to be write what you know. But when I go home to the farm and I'm surrounded by views of things that I know and love, my fingers itch to paint what I know. Maybe that's why half of what I end up drawing seems to be cows. What inspires you?

Monsters ... and sillyness. Absurdity is my muse.

Lovely art, Cathy! I don't have my inspiration nailed to a few things alone. It could be a single thought, a tune, the way the sun glows through the clouds, a smile--any thing...

Thanks for the post! <3

Your art is lovely!

What inspires me? Nature, for one. A clean room (which doesn't happen around here most days).

Nice to meet you, Cathy!

I LOVE cows, so I can totally relate to you painting them. They have such pretty eyes, and if you squint--so that you don't see their runny noses and the flies on their backs--you can see something warm, wonderful and noble in their faces.

Okay ... so enough already about cows. :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting on "The Allegory of the Chicken and the Pilates Class." I totally agree that the Ol' Bird should have at least gotten a warm loaf of bread out of the deal!
